The Best Wedding Videographers in Dublin

It All Begins Here

Dublin weddings ask more of a videographer than almost anywhere else in Ireland. A morning prep in a city-centre hotel, a ceremony across town, a venue in the foothills by evening — all threaded through Friday traffic, with speeches to record in rooms that were never designed for microphones. The filmmakers below have done it many times over.

Answer four short questions and we'll match you with three Dublin wedding videographers who suit your style, venue and budget.

What to Look For in a Dublin Wedding Videographer

City weddings have their own logistics, and experience with them shows up in the finished film. A few things worth asking about:

Two-location days. Most Dublin weddings split the morning between two prep locations, with a church or ceremony room somewhere in between. A videographer who knows the city will plan camera handovers around traffic and parking rather than hoping for the best — and for larger weddings, a second shooter means one camera stays with each of you.

Audio in Dublin's churches and ceremony rooms. Vows in a stone church like Newman University Church on St Stephen's Green sound wonderful in person and terrible on a camera microphone. The best videographers record audio independently — discreet mics on the couple and celebrant, plus a feed from the PA where one exists — so your vows and speeches survive echo, rain on glass roofs, and unreliable sound systems.

Winter and low light. Dublin city weddings are increasingly year-round, and a December ceremony can mean candlelit rooms and street-lit portraits by 4pm. Ask to see a full film shot in winter, not just a summer highlight reel.

Drone footage — with a caveat. Much of north Dublin sits inside the Dublin Airport restricted flight zone, and coastal spots like Howth and Killiney bring wind that can ground a drone at short notice. An experienced Dublin videographer will tell you honestly whether aerial shots are realistic at your venue rather than promising footage they can't legally capture.

Dublin Wedding Venues We Know Well

The recommended videographers on this site have filmed at most of Dublin's major wedding venues, including:

Castles and country houses: Luttrellstown Castle [link to your Luttrellstown blog post], Clontarf Castle, Fitzpatrick Castle in Killiney.

City-centre hotels: The Shelbourne, The Westbury, The Merrion — beautiful rooms that reward a filmmaker who can work discreetly in tight, busy spaces.

Character and alternative venues: City Hall, Smock Alley Theatre, The Church on Mary Street, Fallon & Byrne, and the Anglers Rest by the Strawberry Beds.

Just beyond the county line: Many "Dublin" weddings end up at Powerscourt or Tinakilly in Wicklow, or Carton House and The K Club in Kildare. Every videographer we recommend travels — a venue outside the city won't limit your options.

How Much Does a Wedding Videographer Cost in Dublin?

Most couples marrying in Dublin pay €2,000–€2,800 for professional wedding videography in 2026. Our survey of over 1,000 Irish couples put the national average at €2,160, and Dublin sits at the upper end of that range — demand is higher, dates book out earlier, and premium multi-shooter teams are more common in the capital.

The good news: videographers based in or near Dublin rarely charge travel fees for weddings in the county, and the extra spend at the premium end typically buys a second shooter, independent audio recording and both a cinematic highlight film and a full documentary edit.

Small Steps Create Big Shifts

It All Begins Here

Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to try, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time you take action despite self-doubt, you reinforce the belief that you’re capable. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.

The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting with what you have, where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real.

You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
